Licensure and Compliance

RN Degree

A prerequisite for this role is holding the title of a registered nurse (RN), and the minimum educational requirement is an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree.

NCLEX-RN Exam

Upon completion of a nursing education, successful passage of the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) is required.

Work Experience

A minimum of one year of expertise in your specialized field, preferably gained within a hospital environment, is necessary to embark on a career as a travel nurse. Various hospitals may impose additional criteria, so it's advisable to consult with your recruiter to identify assignments aligning with your specific experience level.

Immunization Documentation and Health Assessment

Prior to commencing your assignment, it is essential to undergo a physical examination and furnish evidence of a recent TB test along with specific immunizations. Your Onboarding specialist will arrange for any required vaccinations or lab procedures in conjunction with your physical exam.

Background Check & Drug Screen

Before commencing your assignment, it is essential to undergo both a drug screening and a thorough background check. Typically, the drug test must be conducted within the initial 30 days, and subsequently, on an annual basis if your tenure at the facility remains unchanged. Your Onboarding specialist will schedule any required appointments.

Licensing

The process of obtaining a license varies from state to state, and we're equipped to streamline it for you. If you happen to reside in a state eligible for nursing compact licensure, Welcome Staffing is at your service to assist in converting your license, granting you the ability to practice in all compact states. Additionally, our team can guide you through the renewal process for your nursing licensure. In the event that your license is approaching expiration, they will keep you informed and collaborate with you to ensure a prompt renewal. Certifications
